The travel-food passport

Eat local.Avoid traps.Know what to order.Collect the stamp.

Food Passport is a mobile-first travel-food companion. It tells you what locals actually eat, where to find it, what to order at the counter, and turns each visit into a stamp on a credible public passport.

What we do

A passport for travelers who eat first, plan second.

Most food guides hand you a long list and a cute review. We hand you a decision. Which dish is worth a limited travel meal, which place actually serves it well today, and what you say at the counter to get the right version of it.

Every place gets a one-line verdict, a queue reality, a price band, a best time, and dietary notes. Every visit becomes a stamp. Stamps build a passport. The passport makes your future recommendations carry weight.

The loop

Discover, plan, visit, stamp, share.

  1. Discover

Search a city, see what locals actually eat, with a one-line verdict on each place.

  2. Plan

Save spots, build a food day, get answers on queue, price, best time, dietary fit.

  3. Visit

Show up at the place. Order the right thing. Eat the bowl, not the photo.

  4. Stamp

Check in to collect the stamp. Verification tier reflects how it was proven.

  5. Share

Your passport, rank, and credibility grow with every verified visit you log.

Credibility

How passport credibility works.

Recommendations from a verified traveler are not the same as a random comment. The system makes that visible.

Verified visits

Stamps are tiered by how the visit was proven, from self-stamp up to GPS, route, and moderator-verified. The tier shows up on every review and post.

Traveler rank

XP from every verified visit raises your rank. Higher ranks weigh more in rankings, comments, and dish boards. Earn it, do not buy it.

Citizenship boards

Pick your country once. Every stamp you earn anywhere feeds your citizenship leaderboard. Eat in Tokyo, climb Singapore. Hide it any time.

Where we draw the line

What we don't do.

Food Passport is built in our own voice. The rest stays out.

  • We don't copy guide lists. No reposting third-party rankings, no scraped Michelin stars, no borrowed authority.
  • We don't republish reviews. We read widely, cross-check across many sources, then write our own findings in plain language.
  • We don't embed creators without rights. We link out to Google Maps and to public search, we do not rehost video, photos, or captions.
  • We don't leak private data. Exact GPS, private dietary notes, and hidden trip timelines never appear on public surfaces.
  • We don't auto-publish thin city pages. If a city is still being curated, the page says so honestly.
